  Here is my love laced tribute piece to Selena Quintanilla, la reina! Sporting her famous Amor Prohibido threads. I chose that outfit out of her endless wardrobe because I fondly remember growing up seeing it many many times from the CD cover we owned. She was one amazing role model, such a bright star gone too soon. She makes me completely proud to be Latina. How she lived is how I aspire to live my life, making the most out of every moment. I was born one day after she died so I find it tragic that I will never get to see her perform live, at a fan signing, by chance on the streets or PERIOD. Something resonates with me on a deeper level over it all. Even though I never met or knew her personally, I will always feel devastated by her passing. Seeing all her music videos/interviews, as well as the ocean of photos I collect takes an emotional toll at times…. absolutely doesn’t ever fail in causing me to cry steadily in witnessing her huge bright smile and her contiguous laugh. Her death just feels like the biggest travesty ever because it was so senseless and unjust af. Selena had a great deal to offer the world, such a lively lady with both outer and inner beauty so astronomical. It’s forever haunting and miserable in thinking of the family or fully realized career she could of had. Rest in paradise, you are never forgotten queen
